SATURDAY, JULY 6 | 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, CST
Students can experience sculpting faces in clay during this 4 hour studio course. Class will consist of demonstrations of building techniques. Explore figure proportion, human expression and facial gesture. There will be class discussions on surface treatment for sculpture, including “cold finishing techniques” in order to finish your sculpture.
Participants should bring a lunch to enjoy outside during the 30-minute break at 12:00pm. All levels are welcome. Course fee includes individual attention/instruction for one person, clay and bisque firing for one piece.
*The sprig molds you make will not be able to be used on this project because the clay mold must be bisque fired. Students will receive these molds with their finished works to be used on their future projects.
Registration/payment is required to secure your space in this class. NHCP encourages all participants be vaccinated against Covid-19. Class participation is recommended for ages 16 and older. Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment of four is not met three days prior to the scheduled class date. Additional class dates or full reimbursement will be offered for those who sign up for a canceled class. Please allow for firing of the work; pieces will be ready and available before one month after your class date. We will store the pieces for a maximum of 3 months after the workshop unless other arrangements have been made.
