New Harmony Clay Project's educational programs help deepen connections between the ceramic arts and our community. The classes and workshops are led by experienced artists and educators and are open to all skill levels, from those touching clay for the first time to the more seasoned ceramics professionals. The exhibitions and events are designed to inspire participants and generate an enthusiasm for the ceramic arts.

CLASSES & Workshops

Our classes and workshops provide hands-on experiences for all skill levels, from those who are touching clay for the first time to experienced professionals looking to try new techniques in their studio practice. Classes are offered annually from June-August.

exhibitions

In collaboration with New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art (NHGCA), we host an annual group exhibition of the year’s resident artists titled “RESIDENCE.” Additionally, we co-host an annual cup show, “Filled Up” and display a retrospective of the Blaffer Permanent Collection at various locations.

pUBLIC EVENTS

The events at NHCP work to support our mission to foster an environment that supports the investigation of new ideas and work of ceramic artists. We have various lectures, art sales and fundraisers offered throughout the year that are open to the public.
