Children, ages 7-12, will learn the basics of hand-building to make small sculptural animal friends. Students will explore pinching clay into upside-down hollow vessels that they will bring to life by adding details from their favorite animals. Before the end of class, we will add color to their pets using underglazes.
Course fee includes individual attention, instruction, and tools for one child and bisque, glaze, and firing for two pets. Want to keep all of your child's pieces? We can make it happen. We'll bisque, glaze and fire additional work at $3 per piece.*
Registration/payment is required to secure your space in this class. NHCP encourages all participants be vaccinated against Covid-19. Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment of four is not met three days prior to the scheduled class date. *Firing fees for additional works are collected at the studio after the conclusion of the event. Please allow for firing of the work; pieces will be ready and available before one month after your class date. We will store the pieces for a maximum of 3 months after the workshop unless other arrangements have been made.
